fashion friday: carrie bradshaw.

What can you say about the iconic Carrie Bradshaw?  There isn't one single word that's definitive of her style, which is exactly what I love about it.  Here are some of my favorite looks from the entire series (in no particular order, although I do have a top 2--the pink Oscar de la Renta & the finale dress).

As seen in the show and the second movie--the Dior newspaper dress :)

The pale pink bubble dress is just a pregnancy decoy, but I love the color. The middle outfit from the infamous post-it episode is casual chic. It's a layered, hooded wrap tunic. Whenever I think of Carrie's clothes, this outfit always pops into my head. And I love her overstated accessories.

Such a variety here. Oversized accessories vs. simplicity. All from the first movie.

All of these are amazing. The pink dress, a gift from the Russian, is my second favorite of all.  Love the pairing with the jacket, and it was perfect for the whimsical, romantic-themed episode.  And I just love the last dress from one of the Paris episodes.  Polka dots are love :) Don't even get me started on the infamous white "Aiden" dress...

My absolute favorite.

I don't know why.  It's vintage and from the series finale, and maybe it's because it's tutu-inspired, much like Carrie's outfit in the opening credits.  The green is beautiful, and I feel like this dress is the essence of the series... of Carrie.  I just found out that SJP named this as her favorite fashion moment, too :)
