"Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower... we will grieve not; rather, find strength in what remains behind.
Amazing, amazing movie. Phenomenal. I love classics when I'm bored--especially on a rainy day--and I stumbled upon this one while channel surfing over the weekend. It's been in my Netflix queue for a while, but I hadn't gotten around to watching it yet. I love Natalie Wood in Rebel Without a Cause and West Side Story, two of my favorites, and this did not disappoint. Sadly my generation only knows Warren Beatty as Bulworth, but this (his on-screen debut) was sooo great. It's a story of the innocence of first love and awakenings and how those experiences can be polluted by society and expectations. Some people my age can't seem to handle the dramatic, emotional acting (or "overacting," as they often tend to call it) of classic movies, but it heightens the emotions, especially given the times. Definitely recommend it for a rainy day!
