tall dark stranger.

I spent the weekend partaking in some much-needed relaxation while watching some old (and new) favorites like: The Social Network, Gone with the Wind, The Godfather and Sex and the City: The Movie. Random selections, I know...

I also enjoyed a little Netflix action. I read such great reviews of Welcome to the Rileys, starring Sopranos' James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart, and this year's best supporting actress nominee Melissa Leo, so I added it to my queue a while back. Now, it was a good movie. James and Melissa were phenomenal. Superb. But I'm not sure how I feel about Kristen's performance yet. It was a little awkward to see her portraying a stripper in her first scene, but then she resorted to her same weird tics a la lip biting and shaking. I like her, don't get me wrong (she was so awesome in The Runaways and Adventureland, which was marketed so, so wrong), but this wasn't her best role. Overall Rating: B. (It will be interesting to see Kristen's portrayal of Snow White alongside Viggo Mortensen in Snow White and the Huntsmen, if those rumors happen to be true).

One gem that did come from this movie watching experience? I saw the You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger trailer during the previews. Within the first 10 seconds, I knew it was a Woody Allen film. It had him written all over it. Not to mention I just rewatched Vicky Cristina Barcelona a few days ago, and it's one of my favorites. Tall Dark Stranger costars Anthony Hopkins (ADORE) and Antonio Banderes (OBSESS OVER). Can't wait to see this:

UPDATE: Just added this to my Netflix queue and realized it comes out this week. Perfect timing! Moved to position numero uno :)

Also, Happy Birthday to my blog :) Reached one year on Wednesday!
