"and your little dog, too."

After news broke that Robert Downey Jr. dropped out of "Oz," the upcoming "Wizard of Oz" prequel that gives a little back story to the great and powerful Oz and the witches, rumors were circulating that Johnny Depp would be stepping in to replace him. As you can probably guess, I was all for that -- but I didn't get too excited until I got some confirmation. Well, as it turns out, there's been a bit of a twist: James Franco has been cast as Oz, with Mila Kunis joining as Theodorah (aka the Wicked Witch of the West).

Definitely interesting choices. I didn't expect them to go with younger actors, but I love the both of them. They were hilarious together in Date Night, and it's clear that I have a thing for "weird actors," so James is perfect. Not to mention Mila has joined my favorite actress/girl crush shortlist (and fashion icon status) since Black Swan. She's hot and funny. What's not to love?

No confirmation on shoot or release dates yet, but what do you think about this casting?
