One of my fashion icons (you know it had to be one of the Gossip Girl ladies), Blake Lively, was named an official ambassador for the Chanel brand, starting with a line of handbags to debut this spring.

This was officially announced a few weeks ago, but we all knew this was coming. She's close friends with king of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, and was featured in the pages (and on several covers) of Vogue last year. Not to mention her personal style is a-mazing.

There were lots of paparazzi shots of her shooting ads in Paris, and I can't wait to see them! Do you think she was a good choice?
