rpatz the rapper + eclipse review.

Just had to share this. This guy is too adorable for words :)

"What's Compton?!... You're from London!"

Btw, I never got around to reviewing Eclipse. I loved it, that's all there is to say. At times I was distracted by Kristen Stewart's wig (due to her hair cut for her role as Joan Jett in The Runaways), but I felt that the acting was much better and David Slade definitely took the film to a darker place, which is where it needed to go. There was also much more humor, which could help lighten the mood for those who aren't long-standing Twi-hards. And of course, one of my favorite scenes from the entire series--the infamous tent scene with Edward and Jacob finally opening up to each other--went perfectly. It was exactly how I imagined when I read the book. That, and the proposal. I love you, Edward Cullen. Lol.

The film moved at a quick pace, much quicker than Bella's immense depression in New Moon (but that was necessary to keep with the book). The color palette was darker, and I think I preferred the rich intensity--and Victoria--of the previous film, but I enjoyed it either way. It definitely pushed the story forward. If Summit hadn't already secured Bill Condon to direct Breaking Dawn, I would LOVE to see what Slade would do with the craziness that is the material of the final installment. Overall Rating: B+.
